Book Tour: Valentine Hound Dog by Rachelle Ayala (Review, Giveaway)

If you love sweet romances (PG-rating), look no further than Rachelle Ayala's Have a Hart series. The Harts are a family of San Francisco firefighters. Their family motto is: Heart comes first.

Former fireman Larry Davison covers his burn scars well, by working at an elementary school as a custodian where he finds a lost hound dog behind the dumpster.

Fashion designer Jenna Hart is in town to do a charity fashion show when she loses her top model, Little Treat. When Larry turns up with the puppy, she asks him to be in the show and bachelor auction.

Larry’s not sure he belongs in a fashion show and balks at being her good deed. Can Jenna convince Larry beauty is never skin deep and love's arrow strikes not only the beautiful, but the bold?

The Hart family will delight you with clean and wholesome love stories, filled with family, friends [both people and animals].

Valentine Hound Dog is Book #2 of the Have A Hart Romance Series. It can be read standalone, although characters from the previous books appear here in supporting roles.

Book 2: Jenna & Larry, Valentine Hound Dog
Book 3: Connor & Nadine, Spring Fling Kitty

Review

Rachelle always find her way to write an amazing book no matter how imperfect the characters are.
Every imperfection makes the story even more perfect.

Valentine Hound Dog is one of my favorite story now, with its cute dog with adorable name, Harley. Our hero and heroine have messy past and some regret.

Jenna is not your usual heroine. She is a fashion designer who makes her looks like a not-so-good woman, but once again she proved us mistaken. She's probably one of the bravest and honest person you will know. She's ready to fight and protect the one she cares about.

Larry is a big teddy bear. He's not a coward even he thinks so. He just need time to recover from the traumatic experience and source of his grief of not being able to save a little kid from the fire. He is the kind of hero that you would love. Not only big-hearted, he's also selfless.

I love the scene in which Jenna told Larry to show off his scars because it's his badge of courage and I totally agree with her.

This book teaches me a lot especially that true beauty is reflected from your character and heart. I admire Larry's courage to return to his firefighting day.

This book is really beautiful with all of the emotional rollercoaster and I totally recommend you reading this story.

  1. I would like to design a nice denim jacket with a flannel lining for Spring and Fall. It would be a short jacket, waist length.

  3. I am so not creative, but if I was a fashion designer, I think I'd design a 1940's esque dress.

  4. I would design nerd fashion. I think the fashion industry would be put on its ear if you started designing superhero themes in fine fabrics.

  9. Since I'm a purseaholic, I would design purses. I like the ones with fringe on the bottom and the flap closure. That is the kind I would design.
