Castle Mountain Lodge #8
Hope Falls Kindle Worlds Novella

City girl Tess Roger's idea of adventure involves putting cream instead of milk in her coffee, so she has no business consulting on a new adventure park. But when her best friend makes her a deal she can’t refuse, posing as a consultant is exactly what she does. Surely she should be able to fake her way through a meeting or two. How hard could it be?

Max Grant isn’t blind. It’s easy to see that the super sexy, consultant put on his account doesn’t know a thing about adventure activities. He can see after only five minutes of meeting her in Hope Falls that she isn’t who she says she is. But there’s something about her and when the chance to take her back to Castle Mountain Lodge comes up, he can’t resist the opportunity.
Lies have a way of building, and with her feelings for Max growing, Tess can’t keep it up for much longer. But telling the truth could mess everything up including the chance for love.

**Accidental Gifts is a standalone novella in Melanie Shawn’s Hope Falls Kindle World. It’s connected to Sweet Reunion by Melanie Shawn where you first meet Amanda and Justin with Mountain Ridge Outdoor Adventures. And is also connected to Elena Aitken’s Castle Mountain Lodge Series where you will find many of the characters familiar. It can be read and enjoyed on its own.**

My Thoughts

Accidental Gifts is a really fun read with unique characters and interesting story line.
Tess Rogers was offered a deal she can't refuse from her best friend to pretend to be someone she was not. She believed she won't be able to do it and keep the facade up but she really needed the money.
So when the handsome Max Grant turns out to be her client, it was becoming more and more difficult to lie to him.
Max Grant knew right from the beginning that the girl that met him as his consultant is not the Clara he had been contacting with because she knew nothing about the adventure business that she owned. But he knew better than to call her outright for her lie and he wanted to spend some times with her first. But when he started to grow feelings for her, he knew that he can't take it further, unless she revealed her true self.

For me, Tess is a unique character with a great dedication and creativity. My favorite scene would be when she was brought to zip lining. From there, I know that she won't be afraid to try something new despite her early worry.

This story is very interesting since it talked about the issues of honesty in relationship. I enjoy the way the story unraveled. I'm happy that Max tried to get to know her and he tried to find the true reason of her lies.

Good story!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

About the Author

Like a lot of my readers, I'm a busy mom. It often feels like life is pulling us in a million different directions, which is why I love to write romance!

There's nothing better than knowing you have an escape waiting for you at the end of a long day in the form of a good book.

I'm lucky enough to live in the shadow of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the foothills of Alberta, where I can write the stories I love. Whenever I get the chance, I escape into those amazing mountains and I can usually be found sitting with my feet in the lake, working on my next book.

As well as contemporary romance novels, I also like to write women's fiction and my collection of stand alone novels are all part of the Escape Collection. I'm always trying something new, so stay tuned to see what's next!
