Isabelle will do anything for her lady, even accompany her to a masquerade ball. Lady Theodosia needs extra support for tomorrow she will meet the man her par-ents have pledged her to.

Meeting an enchanting young man during the course of the evening makes Isabelle wish for a life she can never have. Imagine her shock when he shows up the next morning, announcing his claim on Lady Thedosia.

Torn between duty and desire, Isabelle hopes for something more this Christmas.

My Thoughts

Masked Story is a really good short story that I finished in one setting. I can't put the story down until I finished it.

Isabella is Lady Theodosia's lady maid. One night before Theodosia was to meet her betrothed, she requested Isabelle to join her in the masquerade ball. Isabelle met a charming dark-haired man and she let herself go since she was not her usual self anyway.

Lord Adrian Wingrave didn't like the idea of arranged marriage but if it's the way to make his parents happy he would do it. But what he didn't count was giving his heart to a girl he just met the night he would be shown to his fiancée.

When fate was playing a cruel trick on them, can anything come out between this two beautiful souls?

I really like the plot, the characters and the ending. Isabella kept trying to push Adrian away. She is a really loyal friend to Theodosia and self sacrificing. She was willing to sacrifice her love for another.

The story was woven beautifully giving a unique twist and unexpected ending. The setting in Christmastime totally make this an amazing story.

A story of love that shows that class is not a boundary and it can't stop the hearts.

Recommended read!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
